MURP Alumna Carly Macias Wins Mass Transit Magazine 40 Under 40 Award
Oct 7, 2020CAP alumna Carly Macias has been named to Mass Transit Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list. The annual honor is bestowed upon individuals who have shown capacity for innovation, leadership, and a commitment to making an impact in the industry.
Carly is a senior transportation planner at Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD), where she leads two major projects: the Quality of Life Study and zero-emission bus planning. She began her career as a transportation planner at IBI Group and later worked as an assistant traffic engineer for the City of San Diego.
Carly moved to Denver in 2016 to pursue her Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree at CAP, which she received in 2018. She holds a BS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UCLA.
Carly has spoken at numerous conferences and has served in leadership roles for groups such as the American Public Transportation Association, the American Planning Association, the Transportation Research Board, and the Colorado Electric Vehicle Coalition. We’re so proud of Carly – and so impressed with all of her accomplishments!
