On Campus Employment

On campus employment takes many different forms: it can be as an administrative or lab assistant for a unit at the university or a teaching assistant or research assistant for a faculty member. Some students are awarded work study funds as part of their financial aid package which allows the student to earn tax free pay during the year. Here are some resources for finding employment that works with your schedule as a student:

Access Handshake

The Handshake system is an electronic job board operated by the CU Denver Career Services office that is available to CAP students and alumni. In addition to finding advertised career and internship positions, you can post your resume and learn more about companies you might want to work for. On campus work opportunities are also posted on Handshake.

Go to CU Denver Career Services’ Handshake system.

Architecture Department TA Application

We have a simple online application for Architecture Department TA positions that allows interested students to place their name into a pool of potential TAs. You can access the application online. Open positions are posted prior to each semester.

Your CU Denver Email

We often send email announcements about open student positions at CAP via email particularly at the beginning of each semester. Check your email regularly to stay up to date.
