Technology Resources for Learning, Teaching and Working Remotely

As the campus transitions into remote learning, this page is designed to provide studentsfaculty and staff with strategies for accessing course materials, data, and other technology-related resources from home. This site is intended to provide people with resources to develop workflows to help them learn, teach, and work from home.

ZoomCanvas, and the other software and services discussed on this site are managed by the Office of Information Technology at the University of Colorado Denver. Problems with Zoom, and other OIT managed services, should be directed to their help desk.

Zoom Instructions

Zoom is a best-in-class online communication and collaboration tool that provides video conferencing, web conferencing, and audio conferencing (both device-based and phone), as well as audio/video/sharing, all with an intuitive and easy-to-use user interface. All faculty, staff and students are licensed for meetings up to 300 participants. You can login using your University credentials. 

VPN Instructions

A Virtual Private Network, or VPN, enables users working remotely to access the University's network the same as if they were directly connected to it. This means you can access files and data on the University network from where ever you are. 

LinkedIn Learning and Other Training

Students, faculty, and staff have access to LinkedIn Learning and other online skills training resources through their UCDAccess Portal. Follow the link below to see all the online training resources. Note: For the link on the right, you will need to login to your USDAccess Portal to access the materials.

Free Internet Access for Low-Income Households

Comcast is taking immediate steps to help connect low-income households and families to the Internet at home. New Internet Essentials customers can receive two free months of Internet service, which is available to all qualified low-income households for $9.95/month plus tax. You must apply by April 30, 2020. For more information, see the link below.
