Marty Egan Named a National Olmsted Scholar Finalist by the LAF
Jun 15, 2020
The LAF Olmsted Scholars Program recognizes exceptional student leaders, who are nominated by their school’s faculty members.
Marty graduated last month from CAP with a Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) degree. During his studies, he focused on whether the design of public space can facilitate awareness and social acceptance. He found that there are limited resources that can help landscape architects create public spaces that are inclusive of marginalized communities.
Looking ahead, Marty’s goal is to initiate a body of work through a symposium focused on contemporary research that will inspire a shift toward more inclusive landscape design practices.
Sounds fantastic! We look forward to hearing about Marty’s continued success.
