Undergraduate students in the Maymester 2017 class Digi-Fab at 21st and Larimer, taught by PhD Candidate
Maria Delgado, Architecture Instructor
Jo Vandenburg, and
Monika Wittig, clinical assistant professor in Inworks, designed and built two full-scale custom “entry portals” for the Square on 21st, a temporary pop-up park in Denver’s Ballpark neighborhood that was open June-August. The park, a collaboration between the City and County of Denver and the Downtown Denver Partnership, was visited by more than 15,000 people. The grand opening with Mayor Michael Hancock (center of picture) got a lot of media attention: see stories in
Denverite,
303 Magazine,
Channel 7 News, and
BusinessDen. See photos of our students’ work on the
Instagram site. Visit the
Square on 21st website. You can also read an article in
CU Denver Today.
