Please see the attached CAP Scholarship List for more details about each of our awards. Pay close attention to the application instructions. You can find some scholarship applications on the portal, and some still use a paper packet. There are additional requirements, too, so start preparing your portfolios and project proposals!

Where do I apply? Most CAP and CU Denver applications are accessible in Scholarship Universe. We also manage some external awards, like those provided by the Architecture Education Foundation. For eligibility requirements and application information, please see our CAP Scholarship List.

What should I write in my essay? When you apply to a named scholarship, do a little research on the person or firm the award is named after. For example, if you’re applying for the Dana Crawford scholarship, fire up Google and see what you can learn! If your interests align, be sure to mention it in your essay. 

How do I know if I am eligible for this award? Scholarship Universe will sort the awards for you based on your eligibility. Some awards are available for all CAP students, and others have restrictions based on degree/major, residency, or GPA. For more information, please refer to the CAP Scholarship List. 

I filled out the applications; what else do I need to do? Complete your FAFSA! Ideally, you will have a FAFSA on file for each academic year during your program. You must have a 2021/2022 FAFSA on file to accept most scholarships through CU Denver. Please have this filled out by the scholarship deadline of March 1, 2021.
