Visual Resources Center (VRC)
The Visual Resources Center (VRC) is a student and faculty services center that provides access to a variety of photographic and audiovisual equipment, portfolio photography rooms with professional lighting equipment, and digital image collections.
VRC staff members are available to assist faculty members and students with image-making for academic purposes. Photography and video seminars, as well as basic training on how to take high-quality digital images for academic purposes, are offered by appointment. VRC staff also provide professional input on digital imaging issues surrounding copyrights, file type choices, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom image corrections, Adobe Premiere and After Effects video editing, and long-term digital file storage.
Equipment and photo rooms are available only to students who are enrolled in a College of Architecture and Planning course during the current semester, or faculty who are currently employed by the College of Architecture and Planning.

Portfolio Studio
Check in to your portfolio photography room appointment at rm 490A of the CU Building, located at 1250 14th Street. The Portfolio Studios are in room 420 and room 3302 in the CU Building.
Checkout of cameras or other equipment to be used outside of the photo rooms is located at the 2nd-floor front desk. See Kerri Clarke for more details.
Audiovisual and Camera Equipment
Audiovisual and Camera Equipment tab: Students and faculty members can check out a variety of equipment for educational use, including:
- DSLR and mirrorless system cameras
- digital video cameras
- tripods
- digital voice recorders
- digital projectors
- laser pointers
- day-lighting light meters
Equipment checked out on any day Monday through Thursday is due back the next morning by 10 a.m. Friday checkouts are due back the following Monday morning by 10 a.m. Items may be reserved in advance to ensure availability.
