Annicia Streete, M. Arch re-joins the University of Colorado Denver lecturing in the College of Architecture and Planning. Prior to re-joining CU Denver, Annicia was an Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture at Louisiana State University.  Her academic and professional background is multi-disciplinary, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structures from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver. Her research interests situate along two branches of inquiry: the first, spatial heritage documentation of sites within African Diasporic communities throughout the Caribbean, Latin America and Southern Louisiana, utilizing LIDAR 3D scanning facilitated by terrestrial and aerial drone deployments; the second, a study of the resurgence of MASS Timber as a design and building technology practice. She is in interested in how technology facilitates the architecture of both. Annicia is a co-founder and member of both The XYZ Collective and the Caribbean Spatial Justice Lab. She has served as a co-chair for the EDUCATE pillar of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), co-editor of the inaugural journal of NOMA (JNOMA) and as faculty advisor to the Louisiana State University student chapter of NOMA and Alpha Rho Chi. She is a founding member of the Colorado professional chapter of NOMA.
