Keller Community Center Playspot

The assignment was to create a dynamic community space that embodies the vitality of Central City and support the neighborhood with opportunities to play, share music, and gather in the calm surroundings of nature. The site was located at the corner of St. Andrews and Robinson in New Orleans. 

The proposal included a Magnolia St. access lane and community garden with a mural and expanded planters, social spaces that include a shipping container cafe for a pop-up space for local, small businessesm abd resiliency and sustainable greening, which will also serve as green stormwater infrastructure and permeable parking for the site and the adjacent S. Robertson St.
