Two sections were chosen to further demonstrate the procession throughout the space as well as the experience at the center of the space. The Southward facing section illustrates the increasing heights of the extruded steps/seating at the center as well as the way in which the partial embedding of the building creates addition points of access.

The Westward facing section shows the space in perspective to illustrate how the varying heights of the walls and tightness of the path inwards creates a variety of different experiences as the viewer moves throughout it. This section was also used to demonstrate the view from a seated position and the center of the shelter.

The model was built by casting into a single form built of two layers of basswood to create board formed finish. It was put together with gel glue and staples to allow for easy removal. The gypsum was poured into the bottom of the caste to ensure level surfaces on the top of each step.
