Kurt Streich

Assistant Teaching Professor

Kurt Streich is an architect and educator who examines the role the built environment plays in mediating power relations and resource distribution—from city-wide infrastructure to systems at a building scale.

He is licensed in New York State and has practiced with several design studios in New York City, leading projects with institutional clients like New York Public Library, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Touro University, the City University of New York, and New York Presbyterian Hospital. 

Kurt has previously taught at Columbia University, Parsons School of Design, and New Jersey Institute of Technology, and has served on design juries at Cornell University, Barnard College, the City College of New York, and Pratt Institute. He holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a minor in political science from the University of Minnesota.
