About

Flory Hamstra is a professional designer in the state of Colorado with knowledge and experience across various disciplines including architecture, urban planning, interior design and renewable energy. She is a project manager for the architecture firm, the abo group, inc. (Lakewood) and is currently working as production support staff on the ongoing Great Hall DEN project.

Flory was previously a Sr. PM with the solar company Independent Power Systems (IPS) located in Boulder, CO. Prior to IPS, Flory spent many years in the architecture industry and was involved in numerous projects in the Denver metro area and the front range.

In addition to her work in the solar and architecture industries, Flory teaches undergraduate studio in the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) at the University of Colorado Denver, where she graduated with a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) in 2011. She also sits on the college's advisory board.

Flory is a founding member of the National Organization of Minority Architects, Colorado Chapter -- NOMA Colorado (established in 2020) and currently serves as the chapter's vice president. She is a driving force in the architecture+design industry's movement to promote equity, diversity and inclusion.
