Mark De La Torre

Mark De La Torre is a leading urban design practitioner whose work integrates architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning through community-driven processes to achieve the best and most impactful outcomes. With a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture, he brings a rigorous, multidisciplinary approach to projects that range from site-scale interventions to complex urban systems.

As Director of Operations for MIG’s Denver office, Mark leads multidisciplinary teams in the design and delivery of transformative plans across the Rocky Mountain Region and throughout the United States. His work is grounded in the quality of the user’s experience, emphasizing the translation of big ideas into tangible solutions. As Director of the firm’s Visualization Studio, he employs a wide range of advanced visualization and design tools, to help teams test, refine and communicate ideas—eliciting meaningful input and encouraging informed decision-making.

Over his career, Mark’s catalog of work has included high-profile downtown design plans, transit-oriented developments, and large-scale community and campus plans. With an approach rooted in the belief that meaningful design emerges from the character, culture, and lived experience of a place, he draws inspiration from these local influences and advances work that is both distinctive and enduring by shaping environments that resonate with the communities they serve.
