Travis Bogan

Travis Bogan, P.E., PMP, is a civil engineer whose work demonstrates the impact of collaboration in shaping modern cities. He’s been instrumental in building and leading teams delivering Denver’s most recent and transformative civic‑infrastructure projects. As Director of the Special Projects and Initiatives Division within Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, Travis’ teams successfully delivered the Colorado Convention Center Expansion and the 16th Street Mall reconstruction. This Division is also delivering East Colfax BRT, which will transform how people move along Denver’s Main Street.

Rooted in environmental engineering and practical experience, Travis brings a strategic, systems level perspective to Denver’s evolving landscape. As a Director on the Metro Water Recovery Board, he helps guide regional decisions that protect public health and advance resource recovery innovation. The WATR program, led under Special Projects Division, has the potential to transform Denver’s one and only South Platte River—the ecological and civic backbone connecting major redevelopment opportunities. Through these efforts, Travis champions integrated infrastructure and environmental stewardship as core elements of Denver’s future. Travis holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and serves as a lecturer in CU Denver’s Urban Design program, bridging engineering and urban design practice while supporting community‑centered infrastructure delivery.
