Explore opportunities for CAP alumni to build their career and connect with student talent.
Whether you want to advance your own career or to access great talent for your organization, CAP is here to support and connect our alumni.
Access Handshake The Handshake system is an electronic job board operated by the CU Denver Career Services office. It is available to CAP students and alumni. This resource is password protected and access requires user registration. See CU Denver’s alumni policies for using Handshake on the Career Services website.
Among CAP’s greatest resources are its alumni and connections to the professional community. There are frequent opportunities for alumni to share their professional expertise with current students.
Serve on a Studio Jury Studio courses in every CAP discipline benefit from having professionals give feedback to students during midterm and final jury presentations. If you are interested in serving on a jury, please provide your information on this form, and a faculty member will contact you when an appropriate opportunity becomes available.
Speak to a Class CAP’s award-winning faculty provide expert instruction to students, but recognize that students benefit from hearing directly from professionals in the field. If you are interested in being a guest speaker in a CAP class, please provide your information on this form, and a faculty member will contact you when an appropriate opportunity becomes available.
Teach a Class Students’ CAP education is enriched by learning from both academic and professional faculty. CAP maintains a pool of lecturers who would be interested in taking on the responsibility of teaching a semester-long course. When a teaching need arises, CAP departments look first to the lecturer pool to find an instructor. If you are interested in potentially teaching a class for CAP, please complete this application.
Host a Lunch-and-Learn The CAP community is enriched through extra-curricular learning opportunities for students, faculty and staff. Informal, “brown bag” lunchtime get-togethers at the college are frequently offered as an easy way for alumni and professionals to connect with CAP and share their professional experiences. These are often organized by the CAP student organizations. If you are interested in speaking with a group, please fill out this form and you will be contacted when an opportunity is available.
For additional information about how to get involved, please contact Rachel Brown, Director of Professional Development and Internships, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 303-315-1014.
