The goal of the caretaker's residence is to unpack domesticity in a homologous manner to the previous project; the Japanese inspired tea house of today. The residence is a dwelling meant for one person whose life is dedicated to the care and upkeep of the tea house located on the site just north of its own. By analyzing what it means to live and the necessities required, programmatic elements for a laborer were used in conjunction with those of livable space to design the residence.
