Alliance Center in Denver

Green Architecture/Rehabilitation Alliance Center: Denver

Christopher Koziol

Originally constructed as a warehouse, the Alliance Center is a new multi-tenant center for environmental and community organizations located at 1536 Wynkoop Street in the heart of the Denver Lower Downtown (LoDo) Landmark District. As part of a graduate studio class, historic preservation and architecture students explored alternatives for the building's rehabilitation and potential expansion involving new construction in an adjacent parking lot. The Alliance Center rehabilitation and expansion was undertaken as LEED construction by ShearsAdkins Architects of Denver.
