Weaving through the city, within 1 mile of every resident, this distributed park will provide all who live in Denver
with access to a vital and vibrant public realm, contributing to improved health and well-being for everyone,
while enhancing connections among diverse neighborhoods.
The goal of eDEN is to rely heavily on community input so that designs can encompass values and respond to the community's needs. Here are some examples of street transformations.
eDEN took root at the onset of the pandemic when Denver opened streets for people and prioritized non-motorized vehicles. This opportunity was used to identify successes and lessons learned, and pilot demonstration projects to begin creating a network of open and shared streets.
