Park County, CO: Wauconda Park Redesign

Summer 2024

The  UTAP team was asked by the Town of Perry Park to redesign Wauconda Park to suit the community’s needs. The team collected survey data from 145 respondents; these responses heavily informed the ideation 
of this plan. 

Our Team developed multiple plan concepts and schematic designs to supplement the master plans. Based off of our initial research and conversations with the community, we identified the following needs for the redesigned Wauconda Park:

  • Increased access to the Creek present on site
  • Improved play amenities including nature play
  • Increase of planting for aesthetics and sound barriers
  • Improved pathways, development of seating areas for park-goers, open space for non-programmed play and leisure
