Public Realm Study

In the Summer of 2020 eDEN partnered with the City and County of Denver to study shared and open streets created during the coronavirus pandemic to increase mobility and social distancing. The study utilized Jan Gehl's Public Life Survey instruments to collect data on who, when, why, where, and how people are using the new public spaces. The study relies on hundreds of study hours in the field and produced key findings for the streets observed.
