ADAPTIVE-REUSE AND THE SECRET LIFE OF MATERIALS: A CONVERSATION ON SPACE, TEXTURE, FUNCTION & FORM

Designed with the intention of pushing the boundaries of reuse, this project questions spatial boundaries and how we interpret space. Using a wall system that can be dropped into any setting with multiple formats, one can become a space maker themselves and redefine their surroundings with indefinite variations for multiple functions. A dual sided wall provides functional opportunities to attach build-out from regular, c-channel framework, coupled with a reused concrete pour side; 4 typologies that invite exploration, create interactions and promote education through the sense of touch.

Created from cuts within the car park, wall panels pinned within their origin cuts allow for new circulation opportunities, increased connection, and iteration of the aggregate into a new architecture form of construction.
