Roaring Fork | The Aspen Workshop

The Roaring Fork Maymester Workshop (AKA Aspen Workshop) was founded by CAP in the summer of 2011 to offer students a unique opportunity to work within the offices of local architectural firms and alongside some of the nation’s leading architects to gain insight into their design process, studio culture and professional practice.

For the 2022 workshop, we are honored to design and collaborate with Harry Teague Architects, CCY, Studio B Architecture + Interiors, Black Shack Architects. Unlike the vignette format of past workshops, this year students will focus on one local project that will flow throughout and build on the participating firms to maintain an immersive approach to design thinking and execution.

The workshop will have a “home-base” studio at Harry Teague Architects and a final review. Students will have access to the studio space to develop their work, share their ideas, and collaborate with participating firms. Each week includes firm tours and built project tours to expose all participants to the Architect’s studio environment and breadth of work.
