Visiting Scholars Program

The Visiting Scholars Program provides residencies for emerging practitioners and/or teachers of architecture, landscape architecture, planning, and related design professions to research innovative topics advancing the disciplines of the college while supporting their professional research careers. In doing so, we aspire to establish a tradition of international scholarly exchange and academic collaboration.

The length of residencies may vary as deemed appropriate for a Scholar’s research proposal. All Scholars are assigned a working space at the College.

Scholars introduce their research at the beginning of their term and conclude with a public lecture and/or exhibition. Whenever feasible, Scholars will offer a research seminar and/or workshop and/or independent study for select students on a topic of their choice. Scholars are encouraged to participate in studio reviews, attend lectures, provide workshops, give guest lectures in classes, and contribute in other ways. Scholars are requested to prepare digital documentation of all their activities for posting online. The goal is to integrate the scholars as vibrant contributors to the academic culture of the College as much as possible during their stay within the college.
