Kim earned a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.1) in 2010 from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD). Prior to that degree, she graduated from Bates College in 2004 with a B.A. in Philosophy, with concentrations in Ethics and in Eastern Philosophies. Kim spent the decade after graduate school working for JENSEN Architects in San Francisco, where she became an Associate. She moved to Lafayette, Colorado at the beginning of 2020, where she and her husband now run their own practice, Baseline Design.
